Golden Box – unlimited size and materials

This piece explores the interplay between two-dimensional representation and three-dimensional form, a recuring theme in my work. The image presents a constructed box alongside its flattened counterpart, emphasizing the transformation from a schematic diagram to a volumetric object. By juxtaposing the assembled box with its planar template, I highlight the duality of perception-how our minds toggle between flatness and depth, between concept and reality. The subtle use of shadow adds another layer of illusion, reinforcing the idea that spatial relationships are not fixed but exist within the viewer’s perception. The box, rendered in bold red and pink tones, suggests a tangible, solid presence, while the purple template lies as a ghostly imprint of its potential form. The background’s crumpled texture contrasts with the clean geometric edges, furthering the dialogue between structure and chaos, order and randomness. This work invites contemplation on how objects exist beyond their immediate physicality, encouraging a deeper engagement with the mechanics of vision and spatial construction. It is a study in perspective, materiality, and the unseen steps between imagination and realization.
